The Logan County SCD's goals include sponsoring youth to range camp, sponsor educational programs to Logan County Schools, sponsor soil stewardship material to Logan County Clergy, producer grants & tours, technical assistance for Ladies Ag Nights, quarterly newsletters, and assist on Beaver Creek Watershed tours. The SCD offers four $500 producer grants. These grants give the producer an opportunity to try innovative practices in their operation. We also are involved in educating our youth by continuing the 8th grade conservation tour and more recently helping our high school seniors continue their education by providing a scholarship program. The SCD offers two $500 scholarships and the entry form is in essay form pertaining to water quality. The SCD provides assistance to the local Pheasants Forever Chapter with the planting of wildlife windbreaks and the planning of food plots.
